Er, grateful to those on my flist who came running with words of recouragement after my minor breakdown Saturday night. It's clear to me that I was (somewhat drunkenly) letting a close series of minor sad-making incidents compile and compound, and most likely compost. Hot compost. Yes.

So I'm not going away. But my situation does require a fresh dose (in an IV drip) of the good medicine counseled by several friends: Fuck 'em if they can't take a joke. Or as rozebud was ever wont to say back in the day, "Joke 'em if they can't take a fuck."
