Pride weekend

Before heading to Filthydelphia last Friday,
misterdarkness told me to "have fun being proud" (during D.C. Pride)... I responded: "That's me: proud, loud, well-endowed, standing out in a crowd, head in a cloud (also bloodied by unbowed), lost my butler to Egbert Floud, better polemicist than Maureen Dowd, wearing a shroud pursuant to assassination by the House of Saud."
Shopping at Macy's for a new belt: my last reversible belt broke for no discernible reason last Thursday while I was sitting at my desk at work. Picked up some work socks as well. Thence to the Green Lantern where, by means of the already-posted sonnet I wrote to Maestro, I convinced him to head downtown to meet me. We sat and drank and caroused and then went home.
The rest of the weekend was all about maintenance: file maintenance on my iPod, which I realized only too late you CAN'T do in Windows and expect it to synch properly. I just couldnae stand the way iPod files things when you leave it to its own devicese.g., Firstname Lastname... worse, it pulls info from a database that prioritizes artists, so that the ONE song on 808 State's album Ex:El that features Bjork as guest vocalist gets sorted in a folder called "808 State/Bjork"... Plus one of my group's albums is filed under "Suspicious Cheese Lords" and the other is under "SUSPICOUS Cheese Lords," fer fooksake. Anyway, I did all the maintenance in Windows and then just had to do it all again with the actual iPod music library, manually in the iTunes window. Phooey.
Also did a bunch of editing, cleanup, and winnowing of all my smutpics from Chicago. I am seriously in need of a new webhost, though, one who will tolerate such collections (which are not publicized; I give the URL out to select individuals and will change address if I know someone's linked thereto). Anyway I've narrowed the photos down to 439 usable ones so far and need to bring THAT down to about 200 for actual print display... yikes.
Saturday night got a call from Tritelli, who was out and about, post-parade, with Yorgos and Carl and James, so I went out to join them at Cobalt... but the drunk differential was too wide, and they, weary from all-day partying, all went home after I had been there less than an hour. I hadn't been in Cobalt for probably 3 or 4 years; the crowd is too young and too hip for me, but damn, them bartenders sure is purdyevery last one of them in low-riding jeans and no shirts.
I ended up walking over to Green Lantern again for underwear night; met up with not-boyfriend Carl and Van and Matt and a bunch of other folks whom I fondled through they underwear... Ended up drunk (surprise!) and taxied home.
Sunday: shopping in Pentagon city: Linens & Things for a new colander, bar mops, and rainbow bath towels (I mixed and matched; this was my sole pride-related activity). Then to Costco where I picked out a bunch of stuff and waited in line at the register only to learn they do not accept any credit card except AmEx. Sigh. Had to walk out emptyhanded. Still: this is SO the place to shop for Movie Marathons and feeding the Cheese Lords.
Maestro called late afternoon to say he and Ambivalentcito were heading to the Lantern again for the $5 beer bust, which, when I got there to join them, was indeed a bust. Nobody much there, but one of the few patrons did manage to get my favorite barback's shirt off (beautiful and sweet-natured young Latino man, probably early-mid 20s, not a gymbot... just beautiful). Thence home and back on the iPod for more manual rearranging.
