Ok, the real deal: the reader's/viewer's familiarity with both the Rude Pundit (http://rudepundit.blogspot.com/) and Ann Counter is assumed (especially inasmuch as I have FREQUENTLY quoted the RP or linked to his blog, in this blog*).
