It was obvious somebody had 23s on the brain during the first season of Lost... there were "random" appearance of the numeral throughout, including its being part of the "bad luck" sequence 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 (which of course also ends with the answer to life, the universe, and everything). But then at the beginning of season two we get a research bunker where the eschaton is imminentized every 108 minutes and to forestall it one must enter the aforementioned number sequence in a very old-styley computer and push EXECUTE or some such. But I just now thought to question 108 minutes... why the fuck? Ah, right, I said as I factored it... It's 2 x 2 x 3 x 3 x 3. The bicycle and the tricycle. Of course.
