Spring is here, a-sa-pa-ring is here...
Mar. 20th, 2007 08:42 amWell, almost: astronomically it's scheduled to hit at seven minutes past midnight tonight. I want to do something special to honor it, so that it'll stick around and not let friggin' winter bully its way back into the scene. Maybe a burnt offering? I've got two cats who at this point seem to regard me as the guy who gets up and opens the door for them. I say they're toast.
Ok, fine, I'll just poison the pigeons in the park. Like ya do.
This sleep schedule thingrather, the utter lack of oneis on my nerves. All weekend, sleep was way off (rather too much of it on Sunday) and so Sunday night was about 3 hours' worth. So I'm exhausted when I get home last night. I can't even get through the DVD of The Best of Fractured Fairy Tales that arrived in the mail yesterday; that's how nodding-off I am. So I put out the light and crash hard about 10:45... and wake up at 2 a.m., wide awake, mind racing, not a chance of getting back to sleep. So I went back to ripping my CD collection (got from Led Zeppelin to Meat Beat Manifestonote that Tom Lehrer does fall right in therewith a detour through the 30th anniversary 2-disc edition of Aladdin Sane and some vintage Kate Bush), then showered and left for work at a few minutes past 6. Got to work 7:15. How long can I last on a second consecutive night of 3 hours' sleep? We'll see. As long as I don't start dreaming in the middle of talking to my boss I should be ok.
