So it turns out...
Mar. 2nd, 2006 03:29 pmW didn't just know about the damage Hurricane Katrina was like to wreak on Nawlins, he sent the Army Corps of Engineers to fuck with the structural integrity of the levees, recently released video footage shows. In other news, Mr. Bush made a surprise birthday visit to Hamid Karzai, apparently shopping for a different country to be despot of when this one kicks him the fuck out.
oh, ok, he didn't mess with the levees. but the one sentence with which Our Beloved Leader countered those guys who were begging him to take Katrina more seriously is the most significant lie of his astonishingly meretricious presidency: "We are fully prepared." it's precisely the same attitude with which he dismissed briefing after briefing on the likelihood of Al Qaeda terrorists attacks on domestic soil, even involving airplanes. i just cannot think of a more evil fate to have befallen the United States than 8 years of this man.
